Kerala Solar Energy Policy -2013

The Kerala Solar Energy Policy – 2013 aims to install around 500 MW of new solar power capacity by 2017.

The policy intends to add grid-connected solar power capacity besides emphasis on off-grid solar applications, roof-top installations, and canal top installations. The policy also made it mandatory to install solar water heating (SWH) systems in all industrial buildings for water heating process, hospitals, hotels, resorts, large residential buildings, government buildings and others.
